Sambo is a Soviet martial art, an internationally-practised combat sport, and a recognized style of amateur wrestling included by FILA in the World Wrestling Championships along with Greco-Roman wrestling and freestyle wrestling. It originated in the Russian SFSR in Soviet Union.
